nearly run over by a bus

Must be a disliked route or something, when I lived in a squat in Clapham I once had 2 of 'em refuse to stop at the Pavement - real annoying as I had to get to Brixton before the banks shut. And one raced me from Putney Bridge to Clapham Junction missing 3 request stops on the way....

Glad you're still here Blagsta, where did that happen - near the Lido?

I just very nearly got run down by a number 37 bus on a zebra crossing on Dulwich Rd. I can't believe it, he didn't even put his brakes on, I had to jump out of the way. Unbelievable!

Dude should have warned you that the pedestrian crossing there is a fucking death trap. I always crossed further up the road as it was safer than going on the crossing.

Glad your ok tho

Glad you escaped a squashing Blags

Yep, similar happened to me on the crossing outside Brixton tube. We got the reg. so dropped them an email. They did respond on the 10th Oct to say thanks for the email, that they'd either give me a full response in 10 days or a quick one in 2 with a full response in 15. I've not heard since. This has just reminded me of it, so I'm currently on hold, waiting to talk to someone from tfl...

Some drivers..

Zebra crossing at junction of Dulwich Rd and Brixton Water Lane.

aha - where most traffic attempts to navigate the corner at around 45 mph.

I'm convinced certain South London zebras are designed to kill people - the one next to the park on Norwood Road is a death trap - right bang in the middle of a blind corner.

Thing is, this bus was coming from Herne Hill towards Brixton Water Lane and had plenty of time to see me and stop.

Sounds like the driver didn't give a shit. His bus is bigger than you. The guy who ran me off the zebra crossing was pulling off at the lights before they'd turned green. Had plenty of opportunity to see me and everyone else too. Didn't stop him..

Arriva did write back. I got the letter yesterday, to say the driver had been identified and issued a warning about his driving. Whether that makes any difference, who knows. However, maybe just maybe, that driver will be a bit more careful in the future having realised that he can be identified.

Or maybe not.
