This documentary gave me a dark, creepy feeling that has lasted all day. I remember reading about those kids last year and really hating them, it should have occured to me that they had just been brain-washed.
How could she do that to them? Even if she truely believes that white people are the master race, surely she understands that those views will isolate her kids forever as hate-figures? What a bitch. And Dresden? Fuckinell!!
There's something very, very wrong with that family.. the brain washing, the way the mother encouraged that psycho to groom her daughters, the shootings... what really chilled me was the grandmother when she confided to the documentary makers that she was going to leave her husband. When she asked them to look into it if she ever went missing because she wouldn't put it past him to kill her.
At the same time it gave me hope. With an up-bringing like that those two girls should be ultra fascist and hating all the people who hate them, but they are bravely rejecting their mother's politics. It doesn't seem like they're scared, they're not dropping the nazi lyrics because they're publically hated but because they know it's wrong. Some how, despite all the conditioning, the truth has got through to them. It's amazing really.
Good luck to them. I hope they esape and that they can find acceptance somewhere. And I hope one day they bring a massive black, jewish lesbian home to meet mom
