So here's who we'll be playing:
REVEALED: The provisional Step 1 to 6 Club Allocations for 2019-20
Let's hear your reactions! Here's mine:
Aldershot may well not be in the league. The placings are provisional and it really isn't looking good for Gateshead.
Truro to Merthyr would be quite a schlep.
Great to see that Truro v Harrow, the famous “ends in an ‘o’ sound” derby (also known as El ClasicO), will be played next season.
I'm still unclear as to who gets Aldershot's place in National South in the event of them benefiting from Gateshead folding. Do Truro get a reprieve or does the spare place go to one of the divisional play-off winners who lost the play-off with a winner from another league? (i.e. Not Police or Warrington, and if it's Warrington they would obviously go into National North with Oxford City probably returning to our division. )
Speaking to a club official yesterday, they said they expected Truro to be in Conference South next season.
Wednesday seems to be a key day for Gateshead so we may well know soon.
If these prove to be the final confirmed divisions for next season, then the South is gonna prove far more difficult and competitive than the North!
Gateshead relegated at least two divisions so get ready for a bit of giggling!
Nothing will be confirmed until the National League AGM a fortnight tomorrow and the club has the right to appeal to the FA, although I don't fancy their chances right now:
Gateshead suspended from National League and refused licence for 2019/20
Gateshead FC demoted to National League North after league AGM
Gateshead demoted to National League North, so Aldershot stay in the national League. Wonder what that will mean for our 22nd team... Guessing one of Oxford or Gloucester won't switch?
They have announced we keep Oxford City.
Woking can keep the Aldershot fans they’ve been threatening us with.
