Indeed. He's certainly very unwanted by the fans and possibly by the players, almost certainly not unwanted by the chairman. :hmm::hmm::hmm:

Will be interesting to see how the team play under a new manager.

Mills to York after all then, but McNamara seems to be staying on in some upstairs role which seems weird.
We got knocked out of the FA Cup at the first time of asking by a hard-working Sutton side. Fair play to them, we had our chances and spurned them.

Good news re Mills. It will be interesting to see how they do against, ahem, Curzon Ashton tomorrow night.

I agree it's weird re McNamara - staying on as 'chief executive'.

Three nil to the Rovers at Solihull Moors but the first goal was a strange one as the linesman had flagged for offside but the referee didn't whistle so Kirby carried on and scored. The referee then went over to chat with the linesman but allowed the goal to stand. This was the standard of refereeing for the rest of the game. Just hope that the visiting Western Australia junior referees who were watching the game with the Birmingham FA don't take any tips from this clown. Kirby scored a second in the second half and Norwood headed in a beauty near the end of the match. Bring on North Verify on Tuesday night.

On my holidays at the moment so missed Saturday's win over Guiseley. We loaned them our keeper Johnny Maxted who's played a big part in their recent better form apparently but wasn't played Saturday by agreement. Will miss the away game tomorrow and the big clash with Daggers and since were dumped out of the cup another fixture rearranged for Nov 5th home to Shots. Hope to return to a healthy lead at the top but none of those very easy.

Keates named Wrexham manager, the morning after Barry Horne and Don Bircham quit as director / Chief Executive.

We made heavy going against North Ferriby last night and only got the winner in the 93rd minute as we couldn't counter their frustrating style of play. Respect to the hardy 13 fans who looked lost in the away end.

Woking lose 2-1 to Boreham Wood. This relegation dogfight is not going too well.

Gateshead 2 Wrexham 2, after Wrexham had been two down.

Managed to get the radio working out here in Inner Mongolia, sounded like we were in control first half with stonewall pen turned down then took the lead straight away after the break only to drop off the pace and let a very good Daggers side back in it and come away with a point, maybe because Cooper got sent to the stands apparently for having a go at the ref at half time.

Didn't travel to Dover but the match report makes for good reading and the result is really good. Looks like the goal difference calculations are going to play a big part this year.

Got back in time to catch the last ten minutes of commentary last night, which looked to be just in time to hear us throw away two points at home as Shots equalised but we stuck at it and Doidge secured the win in injury time. Seven points clear albeit with an extra game played. Back in UK tomorrow so I have the excitement of Macc away next weekend to look forward to.

Not exactly a thriller, scored early and then largely saw it out without creating too many other chances nor allowing Macc them either, though they did have a decent spell late in the second half which always makes you nervous with just the one goal lead to defend. Lots of draws for our nearest rivals so stretched the lead at the top too. Lincoln on the telly next Saturday.

Managed to throw away a 2 goal lead against Chester. Not sure what happened at half time but it was a different team which came out for the second half.

Snatched a 90th minute equaliser at home versus north terribly united. Woking really are making heavy work of this relegation dogfight.

Just sent Kieffer Moore out on loan to Torquay for a month. He was in and around the first team and playing well so not quite sure what that's about bar more game time, tho they will play Tranmere and Daggers in that time so maybe that. Tubbs got a hat-trick in a friendly last night so might be back up the pecking order.

Good to hear he is still about and playing. Quite a prolific goal scorer in his time.

I've liked what I've seen of him, knows just where the goal is, but he's not quite cemented his place in the team, strays offside a bit too often. We loaned him out to Woking for a while and he did well for them, I'm hoping he'll come good in the second half of the season.

Still only 32 which surprised me. Pace don't really matter when you know where the goal is.

Two nil and we fucked it up! Bastard. Well worth the lead I thought then let Lincoln back in via a sloppy back-pass, they got their tails up and kept pressing and were done twice more by some decent but fairly straightforward approach work. Squandered chances of our own as well. Turns out the season will last longer than we expected. Surely we won't do the same against Tranmere Tuesday?

First away win of the season at Maidstone!

Seems we had a battle on our hands at Braintree to get a 1 - 0 win. Tuesday night at FGR will be a little different I'm sure.

Norwood has been out for the last few games but Andy Cook has found his scoring boots so it may well be him who scores on Tuesday.

We really need to win if the title bid is going to be credible or we'll just be flat track bullies. If they do react well to Saturday I'll be more convinced of our credentials.

Pissed it down here all day but should be dry but overcast tomorrow and the top of the Cotswolds drains well, so expect it to be game on.

2 away games, 7 goals and 5 points out of FGR's lead. Not a bad few days. Feels like we have the momentum right now.

We've won more away games than we have since 2008/9 apparently and it's not even Christmas yet.

Eta: And over 1000 fans away on a Tuesday night.

Norwood did score of course and it was a bit of a gift that one, but Tranmere had come out much stronger after we went in with a deserved lead at the half. We squandered a couple more sitters but in the end thought Tranmere looked the more likely to go on and win, moved it really well at times and better than Lincoln from the two recent games. Another failure to hold on to a lead against close rivals ought to have us worried. Moore out on loan at Torquay got a hattrick to underline our missed chances.
