140±30 years old. That's very young on cosmic scales. You're looking at a shell of highly energetic gas about 13 light years across, expanding at 5% of the speed of light. The orange is XRay radiation, the blue is radio waves.
We've actually known about this thing for years, but it's only now that we know how old it is, because we've measured it's motion

If this was amazing, then this is even more amazingerific! She was studying an old supernova remnant, when a brand new one went off without warning. This is the first time we've actually caught one in the act.
