Nanowrimo 2007

well that was a fine hour

past 2000 now:cool:

that's enough for tonight

it's a bit post modern:o if i understand that term correctly, i'm writing about an internet obsessive trying to write a 50000 word novel in a month:confused:
I'm writing about a nanny who kills the kid in her care

Four thousand five hundred and fifteen words at the moment, ahead of schedule but still not far enough to be comfortable.

4429, that's a thousand ahead, but i'm off for the weekend so i'll be behind again by sunday - life getting in the way of nanowrimo

4000 words exactly - doing double time today, as I missed yesterday.

1k to go to stay on target

I'm only just at 1000 :( Still, I'm working today, and I have lots of free time next week so I'll catch up.

I've brought my notebook with me in my bag every day, with the aim to scribble down some thoughts every tram/bus/tube journey longer than two stops... However, I've found out two important things:
1) That noisy, crowded public transport isn't the best place to write, and:
2) That the world probably won't be needing my further thoughts on sweet nothings in particular...
The writing sessions are therefore terminated.

A barman in my local has managed to get a bit of the place set aside for NaNoWriMo on Saturday mornings, with free coffee and stuff. Plus he bought me a drink! Still only have c. 1600 words though.

I'm around that word count too now, so you're making me feel better about my slackness :D I've spent most of today writing about murdering a child while looking after two kids, which has been a bit weird.

Best to write about what you know, eh.

My first NaNoWriMo had a long, long chapter with a sniper in a thinly-veiled version of the Whitgift Centre in Croydon. Anybody who's been there should know why.

i'm over the 5000 mark, but haven't written anything today or most of yesterday, i'm going to try and write 1500 or so later

Today was a real struggle, both in work and trying to get some words written down.

About four hundred behind schedule which is nothing but I'll leave it for another day to catch up.

I accidentally started this evening. Sat down at the computer and wrote 5,000 words.

It's a romantic story, not the sort of thing I'd usually want to write, but this damn thing has been stopping me from waking up for about a year and it's time it got out. I don't even care if it's good right now.

However, I think it's OK. I'm not going to read back and check, though; that's the reason I have two 9 10ths complete bloody novels already - I keep changing them before actually finishing them. But I'm going to try to just finish this. That'll be an acheivement in itself.

And God, it feels so good to have that writing flow, when your fingers just need to keep up with the story they're writing. It's the best high ever!
