Got an idea of what to write about this year unlike like last time when I wasted a couple of days changing the story.

Should be easier to write at work as the team leader no longer sits next to me

aye, but i'd have to skip work, eating, breathing and that

i've knocked off 500 tonight, so only need another 1100 or so today to keep me on schedule, although going on past experience, it's best to be ahead of schedule, to allow for lean times

Had a great start this morning, 1000 words before lunch time but then someone had the nerve to ask me to rebuild a couple of laptops.

Lesson #1 Don't try and write on a crowded Northern line train. Whatever you write will be completely illegible.

landmark word counts are important, I've just wrote about posting on this thread, it's all getting very confusing

I said it last time, but swearing does bump up the word count. "'Pass the salt,' said John" is half as many words as "'Fucking hell! Pass the fucking salt you cunt!' said John".

dialogue, that is the key, long conversations, with swearing as well, can really boost it, strangely i haven't had any dialogue yet, so i have that in the bank managed another 600 or so at work so far today
