Name for the station - suggestions wanted

But when that 'teh' joke has run its course it'll sound as cool as "CyberVillage Online" or summat.

Alternatively, "teh" will simply become a normal part of the language and "the" will start to seem quaint and old fashioned. People will marvel at how ahead of its time Teh Urb was.

I know it sounds like a crazy idea, but why don't you call it...Urban 75.

:confused::confused:

It doesn't need a separate name. Don't, ahem, dilute the, cough, brand, splutter. :o

The thinking was to have it only indirectly assosciated with u75 so as not to jeopardise the site, should any copyright whatnots arise - I doubt they ever will, and by law I am individually responsible, but I thought a direct name assosciation may not be the smartest thing.

Airborne75 is by far the best suggestion, thus far.

Agreed.
Although perhaps Ed is saving that one for his imminent trans-Atlantic passenger service?

Ed, yesterday.

Someone suggested quite a qood one to me:
U-Ray

...as in Urban RAYdio.
If Im talking to someone about it, I always end up calling it Urban Radio anyway, so U-Ray kind of fits in as a snazzy way of saying just, whilst keeping some differentiation.

I like 75Live!

After (literally) months of deliberation, weighing up the pros and cons, the decision has been made to go with 75Live.

The main reason is that all the urban ones sounded too much like the station would play "urban music", which is a shitty pigeonhole term i think. Bearing in mind that the station is searchable by the world in the shoutcast listings i wanted to avoid that.

also 75Live rhymes:)

hope peepl are happy with that!

Someone came up with a good one down the pub the other night -

'Brixtone Radio'

i like it! (maybe enough to change it)
