I'm currently perfecting my own Staffs oatcake recipe. My dad (gawd rest his soul) would never tell us the exact recipe he used - and then he died taking his secret to the grave! For years, I wandered in a Staffordshire oatcake free wilderness - and then Sainsburys started to stock 'em (hurrah!) but I can't find any down here (boo!) so have had to trawl the net to find recipes and then try and replicate my childhood memories of their delicious, oaty goodness...
