Nadine to leave Girls Aloud!!!

Nadine's leaving

The s*n says so

lol

Girls aloud are shit

no they are not

I'd shag her

I'd shag her too

they are the greatest

I agree

Girls aloud are alright I suppose.

What has been their success outside of the UK?

In terms of record sales, little I would guess, but other countries are nonetheless quite welcome to rejoice in their work as we do. James Blunt and Coldplay are very successful internationally, so this obviously can't be a barometer of quality.

lol :D

no hang on, you're serious

i've never seen eye to eye with you on anything musical stavros , but i think this is as far out as you've been

You obviously haven't heard me compare the every-present Keisha Buchannan to Mark E Smith, given the number of line-up changes the Sugababes have had. :)

I wasn't saying Kimberley is a creative lynchpin who'll befriend the Dali Lama, just that she's underappreciated and lives in the others' shadows a bit.

As for our opinions, that's the great thing about this forum, we can spout our various respective points and then have a jolly good discussion about their pros and cons.

That is a shit song they are singing on the telly now, though.

'I can't speak French, so I'll let the funky music do the talking'

Can't Speak French is a grower, like some of their previous songs. First hearing you think "What?", second hearing you think "Oh, ok" then third time around you love it. If you have an ounce of sense, that is ;)

Lyrics have never been GA's strong point.

Cool your boots sunshine, I rate GA as the best British pop act ever, but am aware of some of the more 'interesting' lyrics they proffer.

Are they like The Spice Girls?

Or something equally horrid? :p

Much better. The Spice Girls had some good songs, but those weren't quite so accomplished and consistent as GA. I think the selling point of the SGs was their whole concept, girls invading territory which for the previous few years had been almost completely dominated by boys. I suppose you could argue GA wouldn't exist without the SGs opening the market up, as ITV may not have done the girls vs boys Pop Stars show from which GA emerged.

no, they don't write the music or the lyrics (but i think they're involved to a small extent in the lyric writing process sometimes, the lyric writers come out with lyrics from talking to the girls about their experiences about certain topics and stuff like that...)

So they have tracks like "Two Breezers and a Blow Job"?
