Nabru Sofas - for those on a budget

Mine must be coming up to about a year now and is still fine. Both structurally and the fabric. I got a sofa bed one but have never used the bed part so can't comment on that I am afraid.

I got one from sofasofa in the end (i used this thread as reference) because it was sprung. so that's another option. about the same price.

Same as, both fine but not used the bed myself. Going to attempt to move one of them today so I can put Christmas tree up. THat should be fun as they're a bit on the heavy side

thanks guys, i shall be thinking about this in the new year !

Bear in mind, if you're small and weak and on your own, and you want to move it, you'll have difficulty. I've pulled muscles today just to move the sofabed over a few inches. However, if you have a flat floor/flat carpet, it may be easier (the legs are normally flat slabs of metal or wood depending on your preference).

SofaSofa don't give you a huge choice of material either

You can also add on to Nabru sofas if you ever want to make them bigger

trust me, i'm not small or weak and i have 6ft sons in tow..........i was attracted also for the fact that they come in bits so i could get a bigger sofa through the door.....iykwim (the flat front door is ok but the door into the block is a bit tight)

Yeah, well my reason was 4th floor, no lift!

PS: Order swatches online as they give you a much better idea of the colours and materials than looking at the online pictures. They normally only take a couple of days to arrive

Our Nabru still looking good and very comfy. One cushion has collapsed a bit 'cos it has me and the cat on it, but otherwise like new. Great to have a massive sofa everyone can stretch out on. Not something to try moving on your own.

One of mine started dipping slihgtly and we just swapped them around and it seemed to puff back up.

We got the standard seating as it was firmer than the softer seating. What did you get?

Decided to take picture so she can see they're still in one piece

I do love the wide arms. Big enough to sit your laptop on when out of the room. Big enough for a newspaper. Big enough for a cup of tea (if you have something underneath in case of spills. It's almost like having another table.

srsly: www.sofasofa.co.uk

no assembly required. normal sofas. good quality. cheap.

I've got a sofasofa one (with footstool). Had it about 3 years now and it's still going strong. We've got to the point where a second set of covers would be good, because they need washing and you don't really want to be without covers for a couple of days while they dry. The covers are pretty cheap, and they're always doing offers on them.

I do like the look of some of those Nabru ones though, I think it's a great idea. Certainly something I'd consider if we move and are in need of more seating.

My mum's got sofasofa ones too, a 3 seater and a sofa bed. I've slept on the sofa bed and it wasn't bad at all. She's had them for going on 10 years now, and despite getting new covers (she's got cream, in a room with an open fireplace ... you can imagine) they are still structurally sound.
