She's lucky in that her house is on the corner so she gets a lot of light. I only get about 2 hours a day of sunlight.

I don't have a single plant in my garden

Considering she rang me at 10.00am and is still not back, I can only assume they're still over there. And they're there every night after work, and they'll no doubt have been there all day tomorrow.

I'd say there might be something wrong with them. I don't spend that long doing things I absolutely love. you sure there is not something else going on down there?

course they do, they work in the daytime.

Her husband is a fantastic cook as well

I went to see my brother earlier. He's just had six trees cut down (roots pushing up paving and going under the house) and the difference is amazing. He now has a sunny garden.

Maybe I should get my b/f to build me a flower bed like my sisters and stick a load of fake flowers in it

Do you like gardening? Acksherly, you don't need to have many plants to transform a concrete back garden. You could make a Japanese style garden with a couple of water features, and perhaps a few easy container plants.

No, I'm crap at gardening, but that looks nice. I would need a garden with plants that barely need watering as I'd forget

It is an ex RHS man who does the judging. But it is for the whole of Borough of Croydon and apparently we have to meet the mayor!​
