My poor wee dog

pleased she's on the mend!
You need to do some serious work on her ability to recognise appropriate eating material!

great news danny :)

owning a lab myself i can say it's practically impossible to train them to not eat stuff that can be harmful; they'll eat anything and everything, unfortunately.

one thing you notice when you have a dog (particularly a lab) is how much litter people just chuck everywhere. sounds like it could've been food in a glass jar that someone had thrown... :(

Pleased to hear she's coming back. We have a Lab. The mad stuff they eat warrants its own thread.

A lab of a friend of mine ate a pair of panty hose. The way it exited was quite spectacular. Poor dog walked around the yard with one leg sticking out and one leg still in.

I knew a dog that ate a large box of Price's household candles. Including the box. It was just before a big midsummer party and preparations were in full swing. No one could understand where the candles that were only put down on the table a moment before had disappeared to until the following morning.....that was a greyhound though.

She's on a bland diet and a very small amount of it. But she's much brighter this morning, and wolfed it down, hidden tablets and all, then looked around the bowl to see where the rest might be hidden.

We still don't know. Possibly some glass. Apparently some types of glass doesn't show up on x-rays. But also "we may never know". Labradors, it seems, eat mad stuff.

Anyway, it's looking positive. :)

pleased to hear you're bringing the girl home danny :)

OK, here's a couple:

In the water, again.

Great news!! I am so glad she is getting better.

Funnily enough I though about her and you this morning because there was a black labrador on BBC Breakfast news who had been trained both as a helper for her disabled owner and then, when her owner went blind, as a guide dog. It was a really nice story and reminded me I must check how you were getting on :)
