I've also seen U2. Just the once, and I also saw The Fall and The Pretenders - who were both great  - so that's me off the hook. It was Joshua Tree time as well, when the world was only just waking up to what arseholes they are, so I win again.

WHOA

I'm confused, how could this have happened with you and Muse, you are implying that Muse were once 'decent' when in fact they have never been more than a very generic backing band with a whiney voiced lead singer.

And also the band who regularly receive five star reviews (not just by the mainstream media) and considered the finest live band around. Thats for another thread tho.

If you ain't seen em, dont diss em.

As as aside I remember seeing Muse when they were just really getting a bit of exposure, and guess who was opening.. Coldplay. Before anyone had actually heard of them (they werent even called coldplay yet i dont think). I actually felt sorry for the poor geeky wee fella behind the piano as the bottles of urine rained down on him...

Ooh, yes. If that comment was a hammer and the Killers were nails, that comment would hit the Killers right on their heads.

Edit: Doesn't really apply to 'When You Were Young' though, which is just fiercely brilliant without a trace of ludicrousness.

It wasn't meant just as a diss - there's nothing wrong with pop/rock music being stupid or shallow, and it does apply to 'When You Were Young' a song which is, in fact, fiercely brilliant because of it's ludicrousness.

Utter balls. I've seen them and they were mediocre.
