My Name is Earl

Very very funny. And great to see Bub's junkie mate from The Wire ("I'm a Viking, homes" :) ) getting a role as the can thrower/bike victim.

Quality programme. :)

I liked it very much. Was expecting a few Jason Lee mannerisms but he acted it very well. Is his brother the guy who played the character in Mall Rats, the one who stared at the funny picture thingy?

It was really quite good. Didn't really let up for the whole half hour and was was fast paced for a comedic drama. I also loved the "homosexual American" line. :)

Yeah, Ethan Suplee, he's also the comic book fan in Chasing Amy.

You can't stand Red Dwarf?! Wait, are you American? :p

Bloody missed My Name is Earl, was looking forward to it too  ...anyone know if it's repeated anytime soon?

Bound to be repeated on E4 or More4 ad nauseam like the rest of Ch4 stuff ...

Ah. Get yerself a freeview box mate. ;)

I did but it wouldn't work without an outside ariel connection and couldn't be fucked to pay for someone to put in a new one...

Bad luck. :(

Yep but it's cool, moving place at the end of the month and the new place has about a billion power points, outside ariel points (and plugs in the wall for surround speakers  )!

They don't do it so much with the good stuff though, like Brass Eye, Peep Show, Green Wing and, going further back, Who's Line Is It Anyway? Still, at least they interrupt Friends and Bo Selecta occasionally to show Father Ted and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Can the people who've seen future Earls verify that it doesn't become a bit tired and repetitive? I hope not.

thought it was ok, pretty funny in places and would watch again.

Red Dawrf as most people know started well and went seriously downhill.

i watched it on friday and thought it was hillarious then proceeded to watch and download all 11 episodes firday night and watch them, now how eve ri have got bored waiting for the enxt one to be released in america. take my advice if you are gonna downlaod them dont watch them all at once, try to strecth them out it makes them more fun.

I dunno if I liked it or not... I'm sure I'll find out when the novelty wears off. I'd give the first episode 6/10 for funniness. It was ok.

I can.

It doesn't.

HTH, HAND :D

Um, in slightly more detail... I've seen the first 11 episodes and it still seems frish, witty and imaginative. While there are some common themes e.g. stereotypical white-trash culture, etc, each episode has its own distinct story.

And let's say nothing more about Nadine Velazquez in a bikini. :o

It's yet another example of the modern sit-com in a realism vein, a la Alan Partridge, CYE, Scrubs and The Office. Keep them coming but I'd like to see today's Fawlty, Blackadder or Ted at some point.

I really enjoyed this too.... I dont get to see much telly but will def put it on my sky+ when it gets installed next weekend. *cough* :o ;)

Indeed- the episodes get a bit much if watched back-to-back....

I'm loving it however, really looking forward to peoples reaction to the theft of the car from the one-legged woman  :D

another classic episode tonight.
if it carries on like this, it's going to be one of my favourite comedies ever. really really unbelievably funny.
