My doggy is very poorly

Is there a vet service which will come by your house? I wish I had done this when I put my poor doggy down.

And sort of like Jessiedog suggested we gave her a tranquilizer before we took her to the vet. It helped her a lot- she always hated the vet.

the last thing he saw was me,as i gently placed his head down and he closed his eyes. :(

Goodbye, you little star, thank you for everything.

And poor Mr Eddy dosn't really know what's happened I don't think. He was looking for Toby when we came back through the door. :(

Night urban, see you tomorow, and thank you all for the kind words and support.

feel for you mate. RIP to a Good dog

So sorry, Xes, you did the right for a good dog but it is heartbreaking, I know :( sending you lots of good thoughts

So sorry mate, it's a horrible thing to go through but you know it was right, and you were there till the end.

thanks again everyone, yeah it is heartbreaking. And I know I've done the right thing,it just really doesn't feel like it at the moment.Every time I looked at him,I found it hard to fight back the tears. To think, that on friday he seemed fine. But I guess there were signs that things were wrong, him going to the toilet on the patio instead of going into the garden,I attributed to his sight going. Prehaps it was because of this.

maybe tomorow, things'll look a little brighter. For now,my comfort is my JD,my weed and my partner (who's rubbish, cos when I cry,he cries cos I'm upset  (he's done this a few more times than me)

i'm really sorry :(

what a sad thread, i was hoping for good news for you. brings back memories of when my dog had to be put down.

I know how you feel. one of my dogs used to pee on the carpet all the time before we had him put to sleep, he was 14 iirc. He just couldn't keep it in like he used to :(

e2a: here he is. Ben, he was such a gentle fella :(
