My daughter is having a sleepover............

Actually there is something wworse than a 14 year old girl sleepover.

And that is a 14 year old boy sleepover. They don't self tan or dye hair. But they do stay awake all night with the PS3. They eat at an Olympic level. They never explain what their arrangements are and expect you to drive them 60 miles on no notice at all:eek:

Only worse thing is more than one extra boy (been there done that  ) or the combination of 14 year old boys and 12 year old girls

they're being quite quiet so far

it didn't last :D

I had to do the "now ladies" talk about being quiet and showing respect for others.

I got a "tut" from one of them - they soon shut up when I told them they'd all go home if they tutted me again

Ha!

And my girls are all watching a dvd quietlyish in the living room on the duvet covered floor while I am sat on my bed next to a snoring 7 year old

I wonder if it is safe to go to sleep?

the teens have gone to the chippy and not asked us if we want anything
I am still learning just how breathtakingly egocentric even a thoughtful, kindly teen can be.

I was only aware of how far I had come when I had palpitations after discovering that the Small One (17) had put two baked potatoes in the oven for us to have when we came home from choir rehearsal...

Must have been the night for it last night

I had Camp Teen round too, but mine are now fairly well trained. We scoffed, we nattered, we watched The Birds and ripped the piss out of it all the way through, fuelled with Drambuie and spliffs (me, that is, they had a taste and hated it - result!) :D

So moomoo - did they do the 3am 2nd wind thing, and wake you up?

are they still snoring? ;)
Nope

One lad was up earlier than me (and I got up at 8), and I found him washing dishes. He's a good lad. I've offered him a full time houseboy job :D

My daughter and her girl got up bout half hour ago

e2a - I'm not now sure that was aimed at me :)

Thought it was too good to last!

One of the girls got a text from her mum at 1.30 am saying she had to go home so she was collected at 1.40 am

Apparently, her little brother had fallen down the stairs and this girl was needed at home to watch the baby while mum went to A & E .

My living room looks like nothing on earth and we have people coming for dinner - best get them cleaning up :D

Oh and after the hair dying incident, it looks like someone has been murdered in the bathroom - frightened the life out of me when I pulled the shower curtain across!

I want to go back to bed...............

I'm glad there was no hairdying incidents here! your poor bathroom

well, our sleepover wasn't the most successful - my girl said how much they were pissing her off all night, because they wouldn't shut up! I must admit, they haven't been the best of the teens that stay here. but nothing too bad, thankfully!

they're going home soon

moomoo, you're braver than me, letting them dye hair in your bathroom!

I've just lost one, but have got 2 left, which is handy as I bought a big chicken :D
