My Bloody Valentine to play Coachella 2008?!?!

OOOOOOOOOO
but I doubt I'll be going :(
However, this means they will play elsewhere, right?
Maybe they will play Primavera...
*prays*

Although, as I was saying to Mr K last night, they'll probably reform and then not get around to actually doing anything...

weird, they're not the sort of band i'd ever want to see again, not that they were bad, just that for me they defined what was 'loud.' a limit of what was possible, a circumference of sound if u will.

Dunno how reforming will do them any favours , they always struggled in their last tour with the sound. :(

(oh yeah, let's not have loads of comments about how great the 'loveless' LP is , 'Isn't Anything' is why they're important)

Whereas I'd love to see them again, as they were one of the bands I saw at my first proper gig and I was so utterly wasted on cheap blended Scotch that I can't remember much beyond seeing someone with his head stuck in a speaker cone during their set.

I saw them a couple of times, once for isn't anything and then again just before that shit album came out.

They were extreamly boring, and those were the days when I was really exited to see any live band, plus they were my favorate band.

Well, piss on my bonfire why don't you!
I'd just like to see them. Never have so it'd be interesting!

dont be stupid, loveless is incredible and deserves many comments.

Loveless is mostly shite.

I want to see a comp of all the mid early stuff before Kevin started singing. We have the german album but then nothing was put on CD until strawbery wine.

 not in any way is it shite.

I think it's shite on many levels. Two good songs. All the eps after geek don't have any bad songs and isn't anything only has one shitty song.

I found my canadian cassette album of feed me with your kiss as I was packing the other day. Worthless now I should imagine.

I'm not the world's biggest fan of live music anyway (I know, it's weird), but MBV seem like a band who were so perfect for the studio rather than live. I may be wrong on that, but both "Isn't Anything" and "Loveless" are such beautiful works of art.

MBV relies a lot on studio tricks to get things right, so while I'd be there if they popped up at Paredes de Coura, the prospect of a remastered box set (which seems to be granted) and a new album would make me even happier.

About their early stuff, they were completely shit until the Sunny Sundae Smile EP. This is and Geek! are absolutely dire.
