Must you be mad to ride an aluminium-framed bike?

Did I say it was you fucking prick?

Surely that's uncalled for. It's reasonable to assume you made the post for a point (a rebuttal of weltweit's comment that motorbikes do well with alu frames), so do you really feel he deserves to be called a prick for pointing out it had a higher powered engine, and also they've since stopped using steel?

My post was purely that Ducati won the 2008 MotoGP champs on a steel chassis'ed bike and it was the first for ages and ages. That was all. Nothing about engines, riders what they put in the tea - no implied superiority due to chassis material. Just an aside.

Gixxer stuck his oar in to be antagonistic and succeeded. But that is the nature of Gixxer. Hence me calling him a fucking prick.

With absolutely no knowledge of any past history between you and Gixxer1000, it's pretty easy to see a reasonable set of replies.

WW points out that motorbikes use alu frames. You point out that Ducati's 2008 champion bike was a steel frame. Gixxer points out that they're not using steel anymore, and that the power of the engine was also a factor.

Like I say, don't know your past history, but it just seems like a disproportionate response.
