If that proves to be the case the question is how it is likely to be resolved. You can bet that there has been community mobilisation to apply pressure to see that a prosecution (if appropriate) does not go ahead. This will no doubt be complicated, as I indicated earlier, by local concerns regarding possible radicalisation in the borough (real or imagined).

Blimey, what an idiot. Not going to do race-relations any good. Having had plenty of experience of Loughton's racists over the years (including, interestingly, a friend of mine who was bundled into a van and driven into the forest for a kicking by some racists), I believed this story. No reason not to. Unlike certain people on this thread, who no matter what they claim, really just didn't believe him because he was a Muslim.
