Rubbish I've seen the Ozrics live and they were hippie bollocks, saw the Wurzels at the big chill (12pm sunday slot) and they *rocked*... in a sort of women chucking their pants at them, bitching about how young their drummer was at 62, mooning the audience, and apparently refusing to play without propah drugs being delivered to them, way....

they also did a blinding ooh arr sis cover...

Colchester - Blur

Southend - The prodigy. Dr Feelgood.

Barking - Billy Bragg.

Harlow - Depeche Mode.

Clacton ... er ... Sade (might want to leave that on out)

Birmingham - ELO, The Move, Spencer Davis Group (ie, Stevie Winwood), Black Sabbath, UB40, The Beat, Dexys Midnight Runners, Duran Duran, Judas Priest, Moody Blues, Charlatans,

For Scotland - specifically Highlands/Islands - the late, brilliant Martyn Bennet. Mixture of techno/dance with pipes and traditional music/poetry/folk.
