Musical Places

Egypt(ian) Reggae - Modern Lovers

see, that's not REALLY it either. It's a type of reggae, it's not a place named FOR reggae.

Egyptian Reggae

Soulville

not the same.

See, here's where it gets tricky.

REM - (Don't Go Back to) Rockville

It could be a musical place in your terms, but in Mike Mills' head it probably was either an entirely different metaphor in mind (rock = barren, stony) and, as it happens, a real place in the form of Rockville, Maryland, where his girlfriend at the time was from.

So do I get shouted at or not? :)

Honky Tonk Town- Nat King Cole
Jump Town- Harry James
Bluestown- Peter Wells
Twist City- Harvey Mendel (ok its a dance) :p

OK Ok, I was just trying to bend the rules using brackets....nothing gets past you!

Husker Du - Metal Circus
Pavement - Fillmore Jive

I guess a circus could be a place and I'm sure Fillmore is somewhere in the USA.
