Ri-Ri, Consideration (not on YouTube).
A bit MOR but two lovely voices (one no longer with us....)
The opening lines of this never fail to raise a positive vibe :
There's a section in this mix starting at around 50:00 consisting of the following tracks:
35. K Vibes – Frenemies
36. The Heptones – How Can I Leave You
37. Glen Washington – Love Knows No Shame
Which is soothing and stirring and makes me think of the mrs ...
"Inside every man lives the seed of a flower. If he looks within he finds beauty and power"
Gets me every time.
Ha, I was going to post that.
...or if you prefer a remixed remix
what a great version
Carl Bean - I Was Born This Way
A song I acquired from Dirty Martini, formerly of these boards, which doesn't seem to be on youtube so I've uploaded it here The Merricks - Sternzeichen Jungfrau:
In the original mix - this is simply brilliant. Great post.
No lyrics, but I heard a live performance of this piece last week and it was totally joyful
God, yeah, I tried to like them...
Not sure why this feels positive but somehow it works. Couple of minutes of fretwankery before it gets bouncily positive
Love this "live" version of Better Must Come
This....full volume in the car....makes me smile
Just for their smile factor.....
One of the best adrenaline pumping songs ever......
I don't think any version of this has been posted here yet, though there are a few.
Personally, this one always sends shivers down me, body and soul...
I can't let this thread exist without one of the most upbeat, positive, life-loving, self-affirming songs I know. It's just a shame that many people won't like it .. and for that reason before I post the link I'm going to post the lyrics to show why it's included here
You, you say that you have lost the way
Got no aim, just livin' for today
Look up to the sky above
And see the morning sun again
You've got so much power inside
So cry it out my friend .. I'm alive!
There's no use in hangin' all around -
You're a king, can't you see your crown?
Look into my eyes, so many things are waiting to be done!
You just need a friend,
Together we will sing along .. I'm alive!
I'm alive, I'm alive...
I'm going to add this too .. Cheesy yes, but right.
(tbf the least cheesy version I know of .. plus it features a cameo from Ian Dury)
Always reminds of Be Reasonable: Demand the Impossible!
Separate names with a comma.
