ill repeat the question. do you actually like anything?

:D

ill take that as a no. plus what the hell does 'he is in his bollocks' mean.
are you suggesting David Bowies goolies are genius's?
actually what is the plurual of genius?? geni?

Mmmm !

I am leaving the internet forthwith !
<adjusts cravat>
I repaired a wing of David's house which had deteriorated over the years. The mortar to the east elevation .. perhaps somewhat surpisingly .. had become friable and many of the rubber red fucking British facing bricks had blown. I fucking made it look like new and me and David went and got pissed in a village pub. He hoyed up on my slacks and tried to embrace me all the fuckin time. He's dozy as you like to be fair. He never ever stops laughing for a start.
There's millions of em too !!

if I were to electrify the works of a folk-blues singer from two decades previously would I be a genius too? (IE, Dylan and W Guthrie)

so you think that the whole of dylan's 45 year career can be summed up as simply an electrification of woody guthrie? leaving aside what a ridiculous simplification that is, it's also factually nonsense too: dylan had stopped making Guthrie style folk records when he went electric, and never actually electrified songs in the Guthrie style at all.

David Bowie
Stevie Wonder
Sly Stone
Bob Dylan
Elvis Costello
Sade (I think that it's more her than the music)
Siouxsie Sioux

Brian Eno cries tears of holy water and his eyes are made of diamonds.
I know Bono and he knows Ono, she knows Eno's phone goes thus:
'Brian's not home he's at the North Pole, but if you'd like to leave a weird noise....'
Half-Man Half Biscuit: "Eno Collaboration"

Stevie Wonder...
THE artist of the last century for me - perfectly fuses pop sensibilities and proper instrumentation - can hit any tempo, from ballad to workout - and there are some simply incredible lyrics.

"Big brother", and "You Havent DOne Nothing" are as good a political song as you can write, "Visions" is as perfect a poetic metaphysical a song as you can write- killer Love songs, killer any subject matter.

Voice is effortless, plays so many instruments so well - as close to godliness as I would want to get!
