Nice one baddog!
A bunch of SE London hip hop vids here, on Transpontines blog:
Peckham _ Lewisham
Transpontine spot too - various locations including the market and Tanners Hill Estate in Deptford, and the Bob Marley mural in Brockley. A police car drives by the Brockley Barge at 1:30.
as a deptford resident - that's nice and everything but it's actually a really crap video isn't it?
he does come over as being nervous about being filmed - especially out on location - lipsync doesnt really match up with the vocal performance in the studio, BUT its got the brockley barge in it!!
One of my fave FSOL tunes.
great track that - never seen the vid before - thanks
I can't quite believe I'm posting a fucking Travis tune, but what?! It's the old Nightingale Estate surely?!
ska invita fucking loves this.
Dont expect a like Steph. And dont call me Shirley.
Here I am, pulling out the obscure spots - I mean, Clapton ffs!!!!
okay okay i was only ribbing - great spot
Since music is out the window Ive got one for you Steph - looks like old soho (like the We Welcom LV sticker) - 1.04 you can see the porn flick showing Astral Cinema (Brewer Street google tells me)
I hope you hung around for 4.00
liking this, mainly because i grew up around there, had infants sports day in clissold park etc
ok greater london but i've spent to much time in feltham
tbh it makes feltham look like a nicer place than how it was in reality when it was filmed
I'm in that one. I was trying to look hard but I'd just been shopping and had an Argos bag with a kettle in it. Well bad bwoy.
None of the videos on this page are working. Is it just it me or do you find the same. What going on?
the youtube ones seem ok here.
could be a disagreement between your browser and one of the plugins, e.g. flash player or some such
Ah they are back today. This is a great thread.
Editor posted this the other day:
Judas Priest - Breaking The Law
great video with loads of soho and westway
Unit 4 plus 2
"Concrete and Clay" - filmed on the building site that was the Barbican at the time ...
thanks for this link
Lewisham Odeon and nearby
It frustrates me that we cannot identify some of the tower blocks in this video more precisely. I am thinking perhaps the Nightingale Estate near Hackney Downs, some of which was demolished in the late 1990s. I think marty21 should know more.
