did you go see the recent 'Dylan' film Geri? i did, last week. (can't remember what it's called though).

Cate Blanchette was amazing.

Not yet, although I think it's on next week. I'm in two minds about it, as I don't much like Cate Blanchett and it sounds a bit pretentious.

oh i guess it could be called pretentious...maybe. lots of different people playing not exactly him, i don't think, more different aspects of his character or of his life?

possibly...

i'm a shit film critic tbh. and i had drunk lots of leffe before going in. :D

edit: it was very very long. or so it seemed. and the bloke next to me smelt a bit.

Fucks sake, slipping Paul McKenna into Aunty Foo's tea was a sneak's drink Milesy. She'll come around one day and hate you (more) for it.

Still, I can console the right thinking people around with the revelation that Morrissey once spent a brief period working as Tim Westwood's stunt double. Good likeness between those two

I'm very disserpointed in you foo. The smoths are shit, i hope you remember this soon.

I really didn't like alice in chains when i first heard them but love them now and i can just about listen to pink floyd which wasn't always the case. The latest one is alanis morisette, i thought she had got weird and shit after the first album but turns out there a few brillient ones.

If only I thought this was a joke.....................

Pink Floyd, before realizing they were much more than that shitty egotrip that is The Wall.

And I'm starting to fancy Oasis :o

Only person I can think for me is damon albarn.. all but burned effigies of the little sprite in my youth, but forced to eat my words as ive grown older and mellower... ah wait, recently woken up to the talent of Jamie T actually. Had only heard the single till recently, but the albums truly very cool. Talented boy.

A diss of the Smiths by someone who goes on to champion Alice In Chains and Alanis Morrissette? You couldn't make it up :)

Both Alanis and layne staley were both 40,000% better vocalists than the bigoted bequiffed one. But he was a decent lyricist ill give him that.

have you ever changed your mind totally about a singer, band or piece of music after you'd spent years hating it/them?

i mean, you used to really loathe them - they would make you want to punch people. they would make you itch with irritation...

then suddenly.

you love them.

wierd innit. :o :D

has this ever happened to anyone else?

or am i the only nutjob in this instance? :)

Well, 'better'? If you like. And I guess Aled Jones' is a 'better' vocalist than either of them.

But so the fuck what? :D

Christ. Why did Kained pipe up on this thread. Alanis and Alice in Chains, wtf?

I feel suddenly sick. Hang on Foo - I may have to pretend that I like Morrissey too to disassociate myself from these types...

 :( ;)

I've deliberately lied on the boards about people who I actually like.

The Streets and Amy Winehouse spring to my mind first.
