Music Notation / Note naming

    that's how I learned how to memorise intervals. eg 'somewhere over the rainbow' starts with an octave, the simpson's tune with a tritone, etc

    And once again, in defence of music theory: writing it out make it seem more confusing than it is. If you have your instrument in front of you (or even try it with your voice) it makes sense really quickly.

    The interesting thing is you don't always always know that something is the wrong pitch - you just have a sense the something isn't quite right.
