surely they don't use that ZX Spectrum of communication, the facsimile machine, to seal giant footy deals? or maybe it's just Martin O'Neill

A fax is a legal document, photocopies (or faxes) of signatures are as acceptable as original signatures altho some companies can state they only accept originals

Depends what you mean by "legal document".

You can quite validly conclude a contract by sending a fax.
