Would you be saying that if it was your relative involved in this? Plus, I wouldn't bother getting worked up about newspapers not printing stories you want. I'm not sure papers would sell as well if stories weren't focused on 'local' topics predominantly.
 
of course they wouldnt like it they know that! Perhaps its only when it happens to there mum/sister/aunt/wife or whatever then they will get annoyed about it until then no hope!

why did the little shit/coward have to use such force too on an old woman d kill her i wouldnt bat an eyelid if they hung him a complete and utter waster/lowlife! society dosent need him at all. Period.
 
whats wrong with that anyway if its keeps the country better and there is less crime and it acts as a deterent to others cant see the problem! We have gone to soft in this country murders happen far too often, and are becoming too common place. No coincidence is it the softer we get the more crime is committed, no wonder prisons are full. I See nothing wrong with a hang em and flog em brigade to those who go around taking others lives out for no reason other than they cant control themselves hardly are they worrying about their victims, unless of course you are a criminal yourself then i guess you wouldnt be in favour!

A few suggestions before you make yourself look even more stupid:

1) Go and check the last 10 years' worth of Home office stats for murder (easily available from the Office of national Statistics website. You'll find that murder isn't any more "commonplace" than 50 years ago.

2) Execution kills innocents as well as the guilty. Are you prepapred for a member of your family to be hung for a crime they didn't commit, just to satisfy your lust for a death sentence?

3) In all countries that have death sentences and have kept sufficient data, the death penalty has been shown to either have no effect on violent crime, or to actually cause the criminal to be more violent as they feel they have nothing to lose.

I'm a criminal and I say the Government is far too harsh on criminals.

We should be eligible for more benefits and a PS3 when we're in prison.

Good points and also the person who pointed out that drugs are behind a lot of crime.

Yes it is sickening, it is senseless and horrific.

Of course ther are some seriously damaged/ deranged or fucked up people that we need protecting from- but it is out of solidarity with the victims of crime, not the criminals, that we should demand

- a more sensible approach to drugs- end criminalisation, treat hard drug addiction as a medical problem, not as a crime which leads to more crime, including violence

- more protection for working class people, by giving us the resources we need (not a panacea- there will always be times when some people are vulnerable)

-more investment in areas under the control of the working class so we can decide what to spend the money on

That won't get rid of all horrific acts or seemingly senseless acts of violence but all of these points are not out of some soft sympathy with criminals but because hard-headed rational policies can actually begin to minimsie crime.

Certainly a lot more than the current system that just fuels crime by placing drug users into a cycle of deprivation/ violence and crime to get the next fix.

The papers that sensationalise these admittedly disgusting and horrifying acts do nothing to help us come up with some at least partial solutions which can make the risks of crime less

theres no justification for people to go around sticking knives in one another, killing old ladies for their bags, etc is there,:mad: :confused: if you dont do that then you will be alright wont you. Its your own fault if you end up hung! :)
