I'd build them an accommodation block at Surrey Quays/Canada Water. Couple of stops on the Jubilee Line to work. Cheaper to buy/build. Added employment in the area.

It is quite common for employees working away from home to be provided with susbsistence money or money for dinner. Yeah, I know, I've never had a job that does that either, but there are plenty of them.
When I was an apprentice we were expected to work anywhere in the country and we'd get £15 a night for digs. If we could find somewwhere that threw in breakfast for that price it was a bonus. It was a while ago though!
