Whole area from New X to Deptford & even Brockley is being touted as a hotbed of creativity and there seems to be a healthy artistic/music subculture.
good way or bad way depends on what you're looking for. (if you're at Sanford - which house????)

what's good about it?
SFS- you really are a glass half full kind of gal! Would YOU live in New Cross?!

You're up the road from Brockley.
Thailand (Thai restaurant opposite Goldsmiths) = excellent
Yeah, but werent you from Plumstead?I can second both of these as Very Good Things. Dunno what all the fuss is about really, I quite like New Cross.

I've heard that the Amersham??? is the new hot venue...

Blackheath darling, and don't you forget it!
*sticks nose in air*
Admittedly if I had been from Plumstead, New X would probably seem like paradise![]()

A good friend of mine bought a house in Plumstead, but would swear with her last breath that she lived in Abbey Wood!

Jesus, what a choice. That's a bit like contracting syphilis but telling everyone you have herpes.

LOL!Oh and - you're spitting distance from The Den! You can go and watch Millwall on a Saturday. Lucky you.![]()
) actually there's quite a nice little park there behind the football ground too - BridgeHouse Meadows, it's tucked out of the way so not many people have heard of it
hurThere's only one living boy there

I'm about to move to New Cross to live in a lovely co-op. I'm keen on the house I'm moving into but not sold on the area yet and feel like I'll miss Brixton - so tell me all the good things there are to know about New Cross and nearby areas. 'The Venue' is not what I want to hear![]()
