It's been a few years since I rented and I know the legal situation has changed, but I'd suggest you have a clear week of overlap. You will forget things. There will be delays. Importantly it also allows you to leave the place as tidy as you can, then come back and re-clean the place once all the dust has settled. And you will have peace of mind.
