I’m wondering whether a Knightswood lower cottage flat* would suit you? That would get you a garden, and access to the overground railway into town.
EG: 3 bedroom flat for sale, Revoch Drive, Knightswood, Glasgow, G13 4SA | £142,995
*cottage flats are a traditional Glasgow/Central Scotland formation. Look them up. They were typically built by the corporation between the wars, primarily as part of the “homes for for heroes” programme. They’re great: good construction, well proportioned and so on. My grandparents had one.
(NB: Knightswood does have a reputation of being a bit staid and dowdy. But it’s in budget and fits the remit of gardens and ground floor access. It’s not too far out from the centre if you make sure you’re near a train station).
