Moving house

I always ignore it until the big day and then do about 40 runs filling up car boots and spend two hours phoning men with vans for the big stuff. Hate moving. Have you considered doing an insurance job and just getting new stuff delivered to your new home
If you do this remember to change your billing address as often higher priced items can't/won't be delivered to a different address.

It’s now expected on 20th December. I’m chewing my nails up to the elbow.

Good luck with yours!

Thanks, good luck with yours as well. I'm sure it'll be fine, even if it is cutting it close to Christmas!

The other half plans to put up the tree as soon as we get in. I think there may be more pressing matters, but can't really complain, it's been a long time coming.

Our TV reception is fucked. Has been for days. I think there’s something up with the aerial. We’ve just been using catch up players, on the laptop if necessary. If I don’t fix it before we leave will they come after us for compo or something?

I doubt it, it's not on the inventory or anything. Plus, most people have Sky or whatever these days don't they?

were you thinking of leaving deccies and tree for new people?
The Friday before Christmas; good luck with that.

It seems insurmountable. But probably isn’t.
It isn't! This too shall pass .. Are the new people actually planning to come into the house tomorrow?
When i got the keys to my previous home and let myself in i found the couple in there half packed and having a big marital meltdown. Do not do this.
Have you got enough supplies (boxes tape snacks to get though the day?)

Yes we’re doing the mad all at once thing that I can’t quite believe will work. The new people are coming in, we’re leaving, moving into a flat where the person we’re buying it from is also leaving!

I’m not even going to try thinking about other ends of that chain!

As long as I know where my whisky is tomorrow afternoon I’ll be fine.

We got very close to exchanging contracts on a place where at the last minute the sellers pulled out. They were emigrating to and were in Aus and getting married.
It all went pear shaped and bloke decided he wanted the place as he was going to return to England and needed somewhere to live.

danny la rouge come tomorrow you will do it. Good luck and all that.
