Mousetraps - best bait?

mars bar pieces have done the business for me in the past. Sticks well to the trap and irresistable. I once caught 18 mice with the one bar so very economical too!

A couple of winters back I was using taramasalata in my traps and the mice were going for it while I was watching them from the corner of the room with the lights on.

Mostly I use yeast extract and PNB.

My last rat fell for a bit of fried squid that I found on the kitchen floor ...

Or put down a lot of set traps ;)

I saw them on telly doing it for wiley rats - half a dozen traps all wired together.

... which reminds me - I'll hopefuly have dealt with my rat by the weekend.:p
Rats ...urgh :(

We've got shitloads of them at the moment. I looked out my bedroom window the other day and wondered how two baby rabbits had got in the duck pen to eat the food and then realised that they were fuck off big rats.

I have had similar mice incidents - mrs21 is terrifed of them, I have seen one near her and not told her because she would freak out (her not the mouse) my best kill was seeing a mouse go under the sofa, and getting one of those metre rulers - and swiping it under the sofa the fill length, out popped a stunned mouse, which i dispatched with a boot, another went under neath a newspaper and a book, thinking it was safe, I stamped approximately where it might be

me 2 mice 0

Although there have been plenty of times when they have got away
