Mourinho's been sacked

He's indisputably one of the game's greats - I mean just look at all the top clubs he's managed...

Hapoel Petah Tikva
Maccabi Tel Aviv
Hapoel Haifa
Maccabi Haifa
Israel
Portsmouth (Technical Assistant)

There you go

Old Maureen wont be short of offers though, theres no big jobs available at the moment unless Barca are'nt too happy with their poor start in La Liga

That was my first thought too....he knows the club, worked here before and Rijkaard has been shite for a year now and somehow survived. I'd be happy to have him...his antics get on my nerves but at least he has some character.

Ramos could well go to Chelsea.

The special one has left the building :(

The new manager better be as smouldering :D When will they be announced I wonder?

You want Morninho.

That dull arse football at Barca.

They've announced it - Avram Grant is the new manager.

He's eye candy for the ladeez for sure.

;)

Not with the players we've got :D Porto weren't dull...plus it's clear he had no say over recent transfers. The only issue is his ego because no one is bigger than the club. If he doesn't come Rijkaard will still be gone by Xmas.

Mourinho's paid the price for Sheva being useless. Andre's been a passenger since he joined and it was clear a long time ago he wasn't up to the job of scoring goals on a regular basis.

Shocked though, he's a character with a great football brain and I'll miss him.

Spurs?

I tell you, Grant is switched on. He's just anonymously enough on the personality front to allow Roman to play at Football Manager 2007-2008 Season.

:D

I don't think it had anything to do with his ego - he said last season when things were at there worst that his family were happy and settled here, he loved working with the players and wanted to stay with the club. On the radio this morning they said it was at a board meeting because not enough fans turned up on Tuesday - they should have lowered the ticket prices - £35 and upwards is a lot for a midweek game.

Looks like it's definitely Grant coming in. Will he win 5 trophies in 3 years???

I would rather watch Chelsea any day than any of the other big clubs - I didn't think their football was dull.

Nah, Milan's taken over at Leicester. Sascha's a bit more conservative - we've got 25 first teamers on the books, which is average. Unlike your good selves, we're not Crock F.C.

Faubert, Dyer, Parker, Ashton, Green......*faint sound of snapping hamstrings and chalk like ankles*.....:D

And you signed Carlton Cole, and kept him. AAAHHAHAHAHA.

Well yes it does. Read above, it's been announced by the club already... :p

Well, he's hardly been renowned for winning anything big when he was managing Israel.

Wish he'd [Jose] come to NI so that we could get rid of our new international manager;) We couldn't afford him though - we can't even afford a stadium of our own.

You're forgetting quashie, dailly and davenport. :o

Cole was one of Pardew's. We only kept him cos nobody would buy him.

Did you sell 10 players in the summer without me noticing or something?

spose we'll see him at tottenham soon ;)

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest - which other halfway decent club is likely to have a vacancy very soon? That way he could stay in London where he and his family are settled and set about exacting some revenge on a club whose owner has treated him like shit recently.

Porto were fucking awful cheating cunts.

"halfway decent"?

Some Chelski muggins on R.5 this morning is asked 'Would you rather have lost Mourinho or lost Abramovich?'

He replies by saying 'I can't answer that, it's like waking up and being asked do you want to lose your mum or your dad' wtf, get a grip man.......

I know virtually nothing about this bloke Grant, but his is going to be the most pressurised position in English football for the foreseeable future. Love him or loathe him, Mourinho is a very hard act to follow, unless Grant manages to bring the Champions' League to Stamford Bridge.

Personally, I'd have a tenner on Chelsea not winning any trophies this season. I wonder what the odds are.

We sold them two summers ago, while all of your lot were in a frenzy about your two wunderkind argentinians ;) Bare bones innit.
