MotoGP 09

Rossi wins (his 100th), Jorge second, Sickboy third. Madness in the race for sixth as Elias goes wide, JT gets sixth, Kallio falls off.

:D

edit: and unrolls a banner that has a picture of each and every one of those hundred wins

:D

If I'd remembered it was possibly his 100th win I woulda said the victory was his before the race.

It was a cool banner :D

Great race again....both works Hondas out at the same corner a few laps apart! Felt sorry for Kallio who rode another good race.

Anyone watching the junior superstock on Eurosport now? 10-lap madness of the most enjoyable kind.

Yeah, fantastic stuff. Buscelotti was great, especially in the last couple of laps.

And I'm cheering on R6 riders generally at the moment, as I'm about to buy one. :D

Poor Nakano...

edit: Haga has an even worse crash at the same place, bike bounces on top of him a couple of times

Was away this weekend so only just watched it on iPlayer. Really, really good to see JT up in the points. :)

Vale is king, as ever.

Really looking forward to the Race today.

Rossi fastest on Friday in FP1. Then it was Lorenzo in the morning for FP2, and again for qualifying...

But then both Jorge and Casey Stoner had huge offs, big high-sides that looked pretty unpleasant as they both bounced away fairly heavily. I expect both will race, though.

Grid is: Lorenzo, Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, Dovizioso, Elias

Toseland was 15th, didn't really seem to be in it after he had an off.

Bring it on. :D

Didnt see it (was at work), but was Jorge's as bad as his one last year?

Yeah, that'd be awesome. :D

Telly's all I'm gonna get today, so I hope it is good. Just went out to my bike and the back tyre's punctured. Bloody thing.

*kicks stuff*

Yeah, that's bad. I'm not a crash fan at all, personally.

Like everything, there are good and bad crashes. Pedrosa taking out Hayden in 2006 was just funny, albeit it was less funny at the end of the season. On the other hand, Sekiguchi's at Brno was utterly horrific.

Well, I honestly didn't see that result coming!

Great ride from Dani Pedrosa. Rossi was *so* close at the end, Lorenzo 3rd. Decent race. :)

Huge respect to Jorge and Casey for those races.....hugely demanding track and they come in 3rd and 4th!! Super-human effort but i bet they're hurting this morning.

Yeah, Lorenzo especially is some kind of superhuman. Not only did he ride hurt after quite a nasty crash, but he was *fast* and he so nearly had Rossi's 2nd place. The pace he was going, he might have caught Pedrosa if he had, too.

Stoner, well I feel for him, because something is obviously not right there. To come 4th when it looked like he could hardly stand at the end of the race was impressive, but they need to get him sorted out or this year's championship is going to slip away from him.

Can we expect more from Honda, now they've got this apparently working new chassis, or was this just a Laguna Seca moment, though?

Looking forward to Germany...

:)

I dunno...I think Casey and Ducati have to be very, very careful now. See what happens in Germany but i'd be tempted to let the guy get away this year and recover because he looks a mess and isn't getting any better. I don't think he can win this year because Rossi has Jorge backing him up and taking points off Stoner.

Better to give Casey time to recover and concentrate on next year rather than risk another huge accident due to illness. Is it confirmed he has a type of glandular fever?

Horrible, horrible crash in a very wet saturday practice in Germany - Hayden gets a highside and falls into Canapa (who is in front of him), both riders go off.

At least it wasn't at Laguna Seca, the thought of highsiding going into the Corkscrew is unappealing to say the least.

What's the condition of the riders?
