Motivate me to get back on my bicyle

Eurgh, thanks for that, now I'll definitely have nightmares!

I've started cycling again, maybe 4 miles on the flat four days for the first week, then throw in a hill for the next week and then keep adding a couple of miles per ride. Eventually I'll be back to the 2 mile flat, 8 mile climb and fantastic 10 mile desent home. Unfortunately I have lung damage and should I push it further than that I tend to get ill although I can do an all day ride if we stop or take it easy. I sometimes get pissed off when other cyclists sneer at my slow pace but untill they bring out a top with "I am sick dont laugh" on the back I'll learn to ignore it.

A couple of years ago I was at 16-20 miles per day, mostly climbs but as the weather got worse I started to cough up blood and catch cold every week. Still we can try.

Her boob is so going to pop out of that top!

soulman where are you? It's set to be a sunny weekend ;):)

I was a bit worried I'd lost it with regards to mountain biking but last weekend me and my 15 year old son got dropped off at the top of a really good peak district downhill route which is miles and tough going... he struggled while I was bouncing off boulders and even did a 6 ft drop off.

Once the adrenaline gets going my mind really gets sharper, i can still do infinite track stands, stoppies and fly down the hills. Might be hope for me yet. I do need enjoy it more after a good uphill first thou, just to get the endorphins. Funny most people don't feel them like i do.

You know you want to... I tried motorcycles for a while but cycling is the shit!

I know it's not the kind of cycling you'll be doing but for some reason I was inspired to go out on my bike when I watched this video this morning. I also tried a wheelie when I was out but it's safe to say neither me nor my bike are designed for them

Today I wrestled the bike out of its place, pumped up the tyres, stuck the daypack in the rear basket and headed off the shops to get a few bits.

On the way I realised I was taking the long route, the one that that has access points to the main cycleway around here. So I took an even more extended route to the shops. Lovely sunshine and a nice cool breeze to cool me down when I tackled a few hills.

I'll have to check the brake cables before I head out tomorrow.

:)
