Mothers' day breakfast...

she's had a rollicking and she's also had the reasonable chat too :D she went to bed more or less as soon as she got in yesterday evening, she was feeling very shameful.

nice of your FIL to bring you a gift

while pratting about on the internet, grandson has done a dulux - there's a long trail of bog roll tied round all the kitchen chairs, finishing up soggily in his cereal bowl.

that'll learn me... :D

well the girl has surfaced and I got a homemade card  a book of classic household hints :D two pairs of earrings and two necklaces.

she's made me a cup of tea too

Grr. The flowers I interfloraed for my mum haven't arrived apparently. I just phoned and asked if she got them and heard my dad chuckling in the background and sarcastically saying 'stone me, they haven't arrived'. Grr grr grr.

when I phoned my mum, she said my brother had called and asked if the card had arrived and she said "no, I expect it's still in the shop" :D

I had to send my mothers day a week ago because my mum was bending my dad's ear so much about not getting a card.

Good lord! The teenager has come home from work and informed me that she has booked a table at a chinese buffet place for 5pm and she's paying.

*Checks behind her ears for markings to see that she's actually my child* :hmm:

Damn shame I've already put the lamb in but we can have that tomorrow.

I've had a similar problem:( Instead of sending a card this year I ordered some choccies on-line for her. I put the order in over a week ago to make sure they got there in time, but they never showed up:(:(

Well, I decided to do-it-myself.

I turned my phone off, went to Glastonbury, including going up the Tor and marvelled at the amazing view (and wondered why all the white sheep in a field below all had black lambs:confused:) and then I went to Clarks Village and bought 2 gorge skirts in Monsoon, 3 cds, a shitload of stuff from the Body Shop, and had a great lunch in a nice little pub. Now I'm home (no-one else is:rolleyes:) I'm going to soak in my Body Shop products with some of my favourite music playing.

Happy Mothers Day to me

Bless her, she completely took charge (except when the bill came and they had charged for four adults instead of two adults, two children. I had to step in there otherwise she would have just paid it.). She even let me have 1/2 lager. :D

It was possibly one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me.

I'm stuffed......
