As far as commentating goes, it's the voice that counts. (Though this one is pleasing to the eye.)
I'd rather have a munter with a nice voice and a knowledge of football commentating than a glamour model with the voice of a Silly Milly on the show. Channel 5 famously tried this when they first launched and it flopped. They thought that having a Page 3 girl hosting the show was a good move.
If she's good enough for the job, good luck to her. Looks are merely a bonus that might bring in a bit of extra cash for a couple of appearances in celebrity magazines.

Why's that then? Premiership audiences in 2001 (latest year figures are available for) were 15% female, on average. 7 years ago when the west indies last toured here, tms had a guest commentator over from one of the islands called donna simmonds. she had an excellent knowledge of cricket, past and present, knew exactly what she was talking about, and had a lovely voice for the radio. it was great to hear a woman's voice in a 'man's job'. i'm amazed she hasn't surfaced somewhere during this world cup.
