Most 'Sloane Friendly' type of music?

When you work there, you see lines of their offspring being walked along in their horrible orange jumper school uniforms with shorts.

Also every car is a 4x4 there.

My old bosses children dressed in those wooly orange abominations. And he drove a 4x4.

He could only afford Fulham though.
:hmm:

yes it could be this too, really they are just parasites on anything, good or bad.

Electro? Hardly!
From my experience working in the Virgin in King's Road, it's coffeetable stuff like in El Jefe's post, chill-out/beigecore comps like Buddha Bar, Groove Armada, Andrea Bocelli, Sarah McClachlan, Eva Cassidy and then the drab boy indie rockers like Keane and Snow Patrol

I used to help with some of the marketing for a couple of high profile Mayfair clubs for my sins (no choice I'm afraid) and the bland house is indeed a fixture.

It is, however, far more horrific seeing yah yahs regularly 'getting down' to a weird hip hop and RnB combination on many a night.

honestly, they can take anything you love and squeeze all the joy out of it.

dizz' rascal- cos they're hip to the beat.
pendulum-cos they aren't anything like mummy and daddy,
Crystal castles- a critical eye for the music of the now.

electro-....."girls just wanna have fun"

Old music that gets name-dropped in NME: 'cos even though they haven't quite got their own cultural niche yet they would've totally been at the nexus of those scenes had they been around.

I'm beginning to think my definition of electro differs from others'
You hear electro as I know in blokey grimey dives in Dalston. Well sausage party but no way is it Sloane.

you know that electroclash stuff from a few years ago, and the electrohouse more recently, like house music basically. i don't know much about it

What were those American Cunts who supposidly put on a great live preformance (turned out to be a drag show) from the electroclash "scene" called

errr...this thread has gone a bit strange. All i was trying to find out is what sort of clubs yahs tend to go to quid pro quo what type of music are they into?

in edinburgh very few yahs have the trad yah look of chinos, cord jackets, cricket jumpers and the yah look is generally quite hip-hop inspired or goa hippy / crusty looking. so not surprisingly they are into r+b and trance.

in London i don't really see that many old skool type 'sloanes' but loads of te most odious of all - the 'slacker' type sloanes if i say, go to the old blue last or a few other places around shoreditch, but they're probably so vacuous they don't even have any particular musical genre they like and would probably go to the grand ol' oprey or slimelight if vice magazine proclaimed it was cool.

Erm, why would Sloanes be seen in Shoreditch. They don't go that far afield that often - it's beyond the pail to leave Mayfair and the Kings Road for anything other than the most unusual circumstances.

The shoreditch crew are a different set of wankers entirely in the main.
