most expensive pint in a London pub?

When I was an (only just) underage drinker in the late 70s we used to go to the bar in my mate's college in Southampton. A pint of the bitter we then drank was 33p. It was a shock to us all when it went up to 34p, which meant it was MORE THAN A QUID FOR THREE PINTS! Horror! :(

yep, very expensive, but the beer is very strong, 2 glasses of delrium tremens will set you back about £8 but you'll feel like you've drunk about 4 or 5 pints

so you're saving money :D

...annoying when it costs about a quid twenty in Belgium. A pint of Maes used to cost me 70p a pint when I worked there in 2000. Mind you that was before the euro came in... probably doubled overnight... and the Tremens is bit more expensive...

anyone been to Belgium recently? What's the prices like?

£22 for 2 bottle of becks and 2 aftershocks in Torture Garden - Mass.
bought with my money but my flatmates generosity

£4.20 for a Hoegaarden in Water Rats. Served wrong, sans even the offer of lemon/lime, and in a rubbish normal glass.

I've only been served hoegaarden with a lemon slice once. And they charged about £4 for the pleasure too

I've paid £5 for a bottle of bud in a dodgy nightclub in china town called thirteen......rubbish. Also been done in se1 - £4 for not even 500ml can of stella....not exactly beer but my biggest mistake was ordering a glass of champagne for me and my girlfriend at tom aikens - it was £20 a glass.......  bumped the bill up a bit that one - and there's me naively thinking it was included in the price!!
