And of course, historically religion and politics have been completly seperate. Religion and politics are utterly intertwined in many places and are both are guilty of playing the game of historical falisification or tendentious revisionism. Even today - you only need think of the FRY and it's break up to see this in a modern european context.

Religion can be a tool of politics. And religion can take the form of politics. But religion is also a distinct philosophical and cultural entity.
Nah I'm a moderate where Israel is concerned. But when I refer to Swaps I mean the socialist workers party and their ilk and front groups who are justifiably loud when Israel does something wrong but worryingly silent or lower profile when one of their favoured dicatorships or movements is doing the wrong.
