Morally reprehensible films that you think are shit

It is foul, but it's supposed to be.
It's not titillating in any way whatsoever, unlike, say, the Death Wish films

Some make even grander claims for it:

Just read that and I'm feeling quite affected. I think trying to rehabilitate that film, no matter the original intention of the director, is a lost cause.

Peter Ebert's recounting of his cinema experience was just shocking.
Precisely who is a 45 minute multiple rape scene supposed to appeal to? Nobody I want to sit next to in a dark cinema thats for sure.

Grim and hateful.

The latter films in the Saw Quadrilogy. The first film may have been morally barren but at least it was a good (reasonably) intelligent film with a twist. However the films further on in the series have no point little (or no) plot and seem to be pushing the boundaries of violence for violence's sake.

Ditto Hostel and any number of other films in this genre.

I think that films such as NBK and CH both mentioned earlier should not be lumped into films like this as they are using shock tactics to make a valid point, whilst this may be disturbing it does not make the films morally reprehensible per say, you have to find other reasons for that.

All of the above said I found both House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects by Rob Zombie morally reprehensible and shit yet I still enjoyed then

cannibal holocasut is great. get over the animal killings and you actually have quite a ground breaking film that inspired the likes of the last broadcast and blairwitch

I once saw a film called Rules of Engagement with Sam L Jackson. Really truly morally brankrupt as Kermode would say. The premise of the film is that it is legally and morally justifiable to massacre women and children because, as they were from the middle east, they were terrorists...odd...and shit.
