Seconded. Bleak, hopeless and very, very nasty. No redeeming features.
Just read that and I'm feeling quite affected. I think trying to rehabilitate that film, no matter the original intention of the director, is a lost cause.It is foul, but it's supposed to be.
It's not titillating in any way whatsoever, unlike, say, the Death Wish films
