monkey boots (ooh ohh ohh!!)

LOL :D so the fact that Dub likes glory holes in pub toilets wasn't worthy of comment in itself?!

Liking the holes themselves isn't wrong, it's when you like using them, from whichever side, that it all gets a bit

Do you like using them, milesy?

Is that why you smell of wee? :(

Ah, monkey boots

*goes all teary eyed*

I remember getting some as a teenager - my then boyfriend, who had driven me into town, told me that if I bought them I would have to get the bus home.

Of course I bought them, and he stormed off in a huff and I had to get the bus home.

I don't think that picture does them justice any more than a picture of new Docs shows them to their best advantage. They have to have that worn look to be at their best.

I wore nothing but monkey boots from about 76 to 82, once I could afford to I switched to DMs, now I have switched my alligance to paraboots.

I've still got three pairs of Docs, two of them women's ones cos they are made out of softer leather and take less breaking in.

anyone else have fond memories of their Clark's Nature Trek "pastie" shoes ?

Can't find a picture of 'em on the net, but they were huge (literally) for a while. Surely a revival is due?

Never had those myself but I remember them well, sort of big crimped pastry all round the front look if my memory serves me right. And Geography teachers always seemed to wear them.

If those scarves are trendy, I am glad (yet again) that I am not trendy..

even if you are trendy you don't actually *have* to wear trendy things that you don't happen to like, you know.

yeh, that's true but it's annoying when all the shops you usually frequent are packed full with styles you don't like.

i'm going to BHS. ;)

It's also bloody annoying when stuff you have been wearing for years(and gotten slagged about) suddenly becomes trendy  I have never worn my 'hippy' skirts again.
