Mogwai @ The ICA

Blimey... how good are they live? Last night, first time seeing them, amazing.

Every review of the ICA run I've read gushes, and I totally agree. The latest, in today's Observer, is here.

A slew of new dates have been announced, including Albert Hall in September, tickets on sale tomorrow from 9am. I'm now wondering how many times I'll go and see them again this year. :)

More details at the official site (www.mogwai.co.uk) which is currently dying under load.

They were fucking great weren't they? :)

Nice shaped set on Saturday too - lots of slow, quiet songs at the start (the more subdued songs from Come on die young and Happy songs) and then - 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong (with a wicked second half electronic freakout), followed by an amazing version of Fear Satan, followed right on by the new Glasgow Mega Snake (a Mogwai song without quiet bits - fuck yeah) - and then - My Father My King for the encore.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

:D

Ooh, I'm sure they have. For I have 79 on my ipod and I haven't put most of their Come on die young or Rock Action or Happy Songs for Happy People on there. :o
Oh well- I'm enjoying Mr Beast at the moment so I'm sure the rest can wait :p
