Oooh, I had a good fondle of the green versions of those while I was choosing my shoes last week...they are lovely, but I'm far too remedial in heels to even attempt them at present.

Practice. Start low and chunky and work your way up to high and spiky.

I have wid feet, too. And stupidly high insteps. and my feet are really small so if i wear three inch heels, they look like those pervy shoes felix posted.

anyway, i'm horribly skint, and have had to swear off new shoes (which is a bitch, because I love bee's.

i bought these at the beginning of summer, though. and they can keep a girl on a shoe love high for quite a while...

I take size 8, but my feet are skinny (the one part of me that is ) and my instep quite high - perfect for high heels

I can't walk in high heels anymore so I've completely given up on them. In fact I've got such weird feet shoes rarely fit me. Doesn't stop me spending a fortune on them though.

Can't help feeling though that the current fashion for skyscraper heels is an insidious campaign run by chiropractors, podiatrists and mysogynists alike. Who needs Chinese foot binding when you can fuck up your feet with heels. And probably the reason us gals aren't making more of a fuss about pay disparity, under-representation in government and the judiciary and the fact that it seems just plain illegal to be female in some parts of the world is because we're distracted by the fact that our feet hurt.

I wouldn't necessarily say that - yes, I like the lovely sexy scruffy late-night boys who tend to occupy chunky boots *mops brow with cold flannel, composes self* but I also like wearing a chunky boot myself.

I suppose ultimately you're right though - I just tried to imagine whether rubbing up against an army surplus boot would be enough to give me a girly stiffy, and it made me laugh, so yes, men's footwear = generally not intrinsically hot
