MK Dons

Wimbledon went from non-league to top flight in ten years.

is there a reason for poorer than may be expected home gates for a top flight side in this fact?

maybe.

I dont really buy into that at all....
Wimbledon just had a lack of people in the area who wnated to watch them.
MK Dons got more against the likes of Hartlepool than Wimbledon got against Everton in the old first division.....

People in new towns like MK or Livingston etc have got new teams and why not? Good for them.
I bet people in places like Basildon and East Kilbride wished they had decent sides too.

MK did have a team actually, before the dons. They were disbanded by the move which angered the club as they had been around for years.
They moved a side regardless of fan base away from the people who plowed thousands into the club over the years supporting them through thick and thin. Cheers for that. Disgraceful.

The traditional way of gaining a successful side is for local people to support them through thick and thin, not to steal somebody else's.

You harangue Wimbledon people for not doing this and then imply that it's OK for MK people not to support MK City FC and wait for a quick fix to come along. You can't have it both ways.

Yes I can....I'm tbaldwin and anyone who argues with me is a Liberal wanker.....
Its bollocks as i said before how many people actually go and watch spartan league football? Do you not think that when people were encouraged to move to new towns, one of the things they missed out on building was football stadiums suitable for towns of the size they built?
Last season for one game in the Essex Senior League just 4 people watched Basildon. If you had been in Basildon that day would you have wanted to go...
Cos you cant have it both ways cos your not tbaldwin and your probably a bloody liberal...

I heard that MK Dongs took 17 fans to an away game a couple of seasons back. Can't remember where but apparently their fans away support is shite. That comes with being plastic and not having history.
As soon as they start to struggle as with Rubbish and Dustbins they'll be off, quick style.
