i was thinking this afternoon that maybe 10 is a bit intimidating... heats would stretch it out to the best part of 6 months though.

2 heats 2 weeks each and then a final for 2 weeks.

spose 6 weeks is a long time to have the voting for, but I don't think many people are going to listen to 6 hours of music or whatever it is all at once

even the song competition is doing loads better from having the tunes shorter, and that's about 45 minutes of listening in total last time and 25 minutes this time around

Ok finally made my mind up, liked bits of most so have ended up with the one with the most bits I liked, mix no 8.

10 and 6 came close seconds tho. 45 minutes of Bollywood was a bit much for my catholic tastes and 6 had a Capital Gold bit in the middle which didn't seem to fit with the rest which was mostly great.

Suprised by the lack of interest in this TBH, there is plenty of variety so I assume people just can't be bothered to listen/ vote.

I love mixtapes... Just like last time, I have enjoyed all of the mixes, and I'm very grateful to all the creators for the thought, art and work they put into them.

I think if I had to choose just one for the purposes of this poll, I would go with Sunburned teeth. For being so wonderfully dreamy. So a special thank you to the gifted person behind it

I would hate to think of this (and the previous) mixtape project as some sort of competition. Mainly because I really dislike competitions. So I'd just like to add here that having a preference for one mix doesn't mean that the rest are without merit. Thanks again

Despite its flagrant and disrespectful violation of the rules I'm really quite enjoying Post-Ambient Fuzz, but all of them have their different merits.
Going to listen to them all day tomorrow and make a final decision based on whims.

I am a bit gutted cos not even 40 minutes of fucking bollywood music got 0. fucking bollywood music ffs. it's all fucking shite. and i sat through 40 minutes and it was all just shite bollywood music. and it's still more popular than my mix

I know polling for number ones is easier than doing Eurovision-style voting, but I reckon the latter alternative might encourage people to vote more, because it allows one to acknowledge the quality of mixes other than the top choice.
Of course, maybe it would just bewilder people further
Whatever I have set aside the day to relisten to my shortlist. Bearing in mind I just got the new Kid 606 album, that's proper dedication I reckon.
