Mixing IDE and SATA drives

I need a bigger HDD. I've got 2x IDE drives atm, but SATA drives seem to be cheaper, GB for GB, as well as being quicker so I'm looking at buying one of them. I've got 2 empty SATA slots on the motherboard (Asus K8N).

Can I add a new SATA HDD and keep the 2 existing IDE drives? Shouldn't cause any problems should it?

considering that you MOBO has both sata and pata (ide) ports, it can support both and will cause no problem..
